Homework is in the form of students creating new artwork and refining existing artwork. It is up to the student to decide how much time to invest in making art and portfolio development, as this is a private mentoring session aimed at guiding a self-motivated learner.
1 - 2 hours per week outside of class

Grades Offered
Students need to have some art experience, particularly drawing. It isn’t necessary to have an existing portfolio but students should have a few examples of their work on hand to discuss as a starting point.
Supplies aren’t needed for the first session. After that, students should have basic drawing supplies such as pencil, erasers, and white drawing paper. Additional materials will depend on a student’s interests. Generally speaking, students should be keeping a sketchbook (multi-media is nice, 8 ½” x 11” is a good size).
