*Please read entire class description before enrolling* This Zumba fitness class is open to new and experienced dancers alike. My previous classes have included trained dancers, students with disabilities, and everyone in-between. Classes will incorporate snip-its of education about different cultures, basic rhythm/musicality work, body awareness, health education, and silliness! This is a great class for students with extra energy before or after school, homeschool students who need a physical outlet or a PE class, students working on their gross-motor skills, and students who love to dance and move! Zumba Kids is a very different format from "adult" Zumba it involves more voice from the instructor, games each class, and discussion to make for a more interactive and age-appropriate experience. Each 20 minute Zumba class will include: -A "question of the day"--each child will have the opportunity to answer the simple question verbally (students who need are welcome to answer via chat, parent, or simply wave) -An easy-to-follow dance -Freeze Dance -Cool-down -Closing question ("what was your favorite part of class?) Note: This class does include time for optional sharing and speaking at the start and end. The closing question may cause class to go 2-5 minutes over time so feel free to log off whenever necessary. Classroom Page: I reccomend looking at the post on the classroom page 5-10 minutes before the start of class. I will post the "question of the day" prior to class and your child can prepare their answer before joining to relieve any anxiety. Take a peek at the classroom page a few minutes after class, as well. I often post tips, videos, links to music used in class, or optional at-home extension ideas. Zumba Students should have well-fitting sneakers, a water bottle, and a few feet of space in each direction to move. For the best experience kiddos should be on-camera from head-to-toes. If you have multiple children sharing a device you can add names upon entering Zoom by choosing "participants", your child, "more", "rename". #creative #superstar

Parental Guidance
During Zumba class, students must have a few feet in each direction to move and should have their device angled so that they will be visible while dancing.
Parents may want to remain close by to encourage safety, attention, and to help with any technology issues that might arise.
If any technological issues arise during class (ex: teacher is inaudible), parents can send me a message in the chat on Zoom and I will do my best to resolve the issue.
If a family has any special needs, comments, or concerns before or after class they can feel free to send me a private message on Outschool and I will do my best to accommodate to your satisfaction within 48 hours.
This Zumba class is great for students who are neurotypical, neurodiverse, have Autism, ADHD, speech impairments, dyslexia, Down Syndrome, and many other disability classifications.
