I LOVE teaching children. Before I became a Principal, I taught in both elementary and middle school/junior high, but I LOVE teaching young learners. I taught kindergarten for a number of years. I enjoy seeing young learners singing, dancing [movement], drawing, thinking, being open and uninhibited, watching them as they begin to read words, write their names and other words, spell and grow into their own self. I am excited to be teaching in the Outschool community, working with young learners and helping them develop a love for learning. In Back to School Kindergarten Circle FUN Time, your young learner will just have plain ol' FUN! as they learn to love learning.
Depending on the session attended: 👉 2 [complete] sets of magnetic alphabet letters [upper & lower case] 👉 1 [complete] set of magnetic numbers 👉 1 magnet white board [8" X 10"] 👉 dry erase markers 👉 dry erase eraser 👉 writing paper with lines 👉 drawing paper 👉 pencils 👉 crayons or colored pencils NOTE: Other items, materials may be needed, depending on the theme and content being taught in any given class. Items and materials will be listed in the class description by date.
SPECIAL NOTE TO PARENTS: To ensure each learner's success, please follow the guidelines below: 👉 Learner should be rested and ready to participate for the entire class time 👉 Learner should go to the bathroom BEFORE class begins 👉 Learner should be in a quiet, non-distracting place in order to enjoy the reading of the stories and interaction with their Teacher and other learners 👉 Learner's should be in a cleared, clean area/working space 👉 Learner's camera and mic should be working 👉 Parents are encouraged to be present [but off camera] with young learner to assist with learner attention/focus and any technical issues that may arise 👉 Along with reading, there will be math, movement, singing, drawing, laughing, lots of fun and possible scavenger hunts.
