I love watching the plants grow in spring, do you? Plants and flowers need pollen to help them make new seeds. Let's learn about pollen together! In this class, students will learn how pollen is transferred from plant to plant. They will learn simple parts of a flower that help in the pollen process. They will practice identifying these parts of a flower. Students will also learn about how animals help in pollination. These animals are called pollinators. After a short, engaging lesson, students will create their own pollinators and practice transferring pollen. Parents, please check the supply list!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree from Washington State University
Hi, friends! My name is Teacher Angela, and I love teaching early learning classes. My classes include topics of early literacy, STEAM, circle time, and full curriculum classes. I have been working with kids as long as I can remember. I have babysat, been a nanny, and helped look after my 6 younger siblings.
I have my Bachelor's degree in Human Development, with a certificate in Child Development and Care. I have worked with preschoolers since 2010. Some of my roles have included teaching preschool, and acting as a Program Supervisor and Director of a child care center. I helped develop curriculum for the classrooms and helped grow the preschool program as a whole. I have worked with many curriculums, and I have training in Zoo-Phonics and Handwriting Without Tears. I also taught ESL online for 2 years. I am currently finishing my master's degree in Elementary Education.
My teaching style is to encourage conversation, engagement, and fun in the classroom. I think it is important for kids to have opportunities to share and interact. I also think it is so important for kids to have fun learning! Learning shouldn't just be through worksheets and homework, it should involve motions and play! In my classes, we will have so much fun learning. We will go on adventures, sing songs, do lots of arts and crafts, complete experiments, and use lots of movement. Some of my favorite book characters are Pete the Cat and Little Blue Truck. I can't wait to meet you in the classroom! :)
