Pokemon: Got to Draw Them All! Learn to Draw Pokemon

This is a weekly class where we will draw 1 or 2 Pokemon characters during each 55-minute session. Draw your characters in pencil, "ink" with a marker, then color with colored pencils or markers. I will demonstrate a step-by-step method.

Class Experience

This is a weekly class where we will talk about and draw 1 or 2 Pokemon characters during each 55-minute session. Draw your characters in pencil, then "ink" with a marker, then color with colored pencils or markers. I will demonstrate a step-by-step method or participants can use their own technique. Students will get the opportunity to share their drawings and get supportive feedback. It's so fun to draw and talk about Pokemon! 
Week 1 Theme: Draw Pokemon/Topic: Pikachu & Meowth 
Week 2 Theme: Draw Pokemon/Topic: Chikorita & Meganium
Week 3 Theme: Draw Pokemon/Topic: Bulbasaur & Ivysaur
Week 4 Theme: Draw Pokemon/Topic: Caterpie & Butterfree
Week 5 Theme: Draw Pokemon/Topic: Exeggcute & Exeggutor
Week 6 Theme: Draw Pokemon/Topic: Litten & Torracat
I will do a warm-up at the beginning of each class to help students observe and recognize the shapes and lines that artists use to draw well. Students often have a range of experience and all levels of experience will be supported.
Learning Goals
Students will observe and draw the shapes that makeup Pokemon. Students will develop their Pokemon drawing skills. Students will socialize with other Pokemon drawing fans. Students will demonstrate their ability to carefully observe and draw Pokemon characters.

Parental Guidance
Pokemon characters are appropriate for all ages.
Supply List
Students will need the following: plenty of white paper (printer paper or a drawing sketchbook), sharp pencils, a 2B or range of drawing pencils, white eraser, black sharpie marker or sharpie pen (can also use thin line black crayola marker or black graphic marker), something to color with like colored pencils, markers or crayons.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
