In this one-time course, students will learn about metals. We will go into detail about common properties of metals such as conducting heat well (and what that means) as well as facts about specific metals.  We'll play a couple of Pokemon quiz games during the class that will test students on what they've learned.

This course is a Pokemon themed course. All of the quiz games we play incorporate Pokemon. For example, one game is a Jeopardy-type trivia game that includes Pokemon trivia as one of the categories. I also weave Pokemon into the material as I can, although the content is not saturated with Pokemon. For example, when talking about how metals conduct heat there is a picture of Charmander.

The format of this class is a mix of lecture and presentation. I am a Chemical Engineer.
