What's included
1 live meeting
35 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this one time ballet class, the student will be introduced to a wide range of ballet steps in a fun and safe environment. This class will incorporate balance, energy, rhythm, and musicality relating to ballet dance. Students will also be introduced to proper stretching, basic dance steps, body placement, ballet terminology, a dance combination, as well as a cool down. Mrs. Danielle will ensure all students are learning material and are comfortable with constant student check-ins. Every class will begin with a stretch and barre work to make sure our bodies and feet are nice and warm before we begin dancing! Next, Mrs. Danielle will model dance steps and have students practice. Students will then learn a quick dance combination to ballet music to practice with musicality, rhythm beats, and improve muscle memory! At the end of every class, we will end with a reverence to bring our bodies back to relaxation! Here is a breakdown of what to expect from each class: -Greeting/Introduction -Stretching/Barre Work -Introduction to basic ballet dance steps, as well as correct body placement, musicality, and correct posture during steps. -A new 4-5 (8 count) Ballet combination will be taught to a classical ballet song created by Mrs. Danielle implementing material just learned. -Reverence -Closing/Good Bye **NOTE** Learners will be muted following introductions to alleviate any background noise. If you students have questions, they may raise their hand and un-mute themselves! :) I will always try my best to prevent any interferences and disruption while the music and dance instruction is going on.
Other Details
Parental Guidance
Ballet shoes are recommended, but not required for this course. This will ensure that students' feet are protected during class if dancing on a hard surface. If students do not have ballet shoes, please have your child go bare foot. I ask please no socks, they make slipping much more prominent.
During the barre work portion of class, a chair, table, or counter top will work just fine. Learners just need something to grab onto during barre work.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
