In this one-time ear training class, students will challenge the abilities of their musical ears in various forms. Each ear training exercise will begin with an introduction to the concept this will allow young musicians to either review already learned music theory concepts, learn proper terms, or learn new material. Ear training will include (but will not be limited to) rhythms and their lengths identifying them visually and aurally. Students will also have the opportunity to identify dynamics and simple melodies (ascending and descending), plus identify harmonic intervals. This course is for the beginning musician or one that wants to have fun challenging their musical listening skills. This class will work with 1 student but may be more enjoyable with several students involved. If you have musical friends, INVITE them to join the class Students will only need a pencil and paper, dry-erase board, and marker, and be ready for a fun experience.
