Hi everyone! My name is Diana, and I'm passionate about creating a fun and supportive environment where you can explore your musicality and unleash your creativity.  My lessons go beyond just mastering the mechanics. I believe that musical expression and discovering your unique voice are equally important aspects of becoming a well-rounded musician.

Together, we'll tailor lessons to your individual goals and interests.  Whether you're a beginner eager to learn the basics or a seasoned player looking to refine your technique and improvisation, I'm here to guide you!

About Me:

I'm an educator and multi-instrumentalist in voice, piano, saxophone, fench horn, and music theory. I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from the University of British Columbia, where I studied under Krisztina Szabo.  Currently, I'm pursuing a Bachelor of Music Education specializing in choral conducting. 

During my UBC years, I actively participated in the prestigious University Singers ensemble (directed by Graeme Langager) and the UBC Opera Ensemble (directed by Nancy Hermiston).  I've also presented solo recitals, premiering new works by emerging composers and expanding my knowledge of Art Song repertoire.

Beyond classical music, I'm an active performer in musical theatre productions, having played roles like Hope Cladwell in "Urinetown," Crystal in "Little Shop of Horrors," and a soloist in "West Side Story."  

I'm also a section leader and mentor with the world-renowned Vancouver Youth Choir, with whom I performed at the 2023 World Symposium on Choral Music in Istanbul.  Last summer, I received a full scholarship to SongFest USA in Nashville, TN, where I had the privilege of learning from esteemed faculty like William McGraw, Libby Larsen, and Amy Burton.
