Learner progress is assessed through informal observation and anecdotal notes (as needed).Class Experience
During this class, the following topics will be covered: What organization is, why planning is important, what you can plan for, and how to plan and manage your time appropriately. My class will be structured in the following manner: A very brief get-to-know-you activity consisting of the students' names and one "fun-fact" each, an introduction of the topics, questions for deeper understanding and discussion throughout the content, and a hypothetical scenario in which students must brainstorm ideas of how the person in the story could better manage their time. This will give students the opportunity to apply their knowledge of time-management and planning skills that they learned in the course. Learners will get to interact with myself and each other during the questioning and discussions, as well as their presentation of ideas for the hypothetical scenario where they brainstorm ideas to solve the problem. No required experience or knowledge is needed for this course, except for a willingness to better manage time and organize! My teaching style for this course takes a discussion-based approach, as well as a chance to apply knowledge (as I find that students often tend to learn best by doing).
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to recognize and understand the key components of organization skills and their importance in their lives. They will also be able to apply their knowledge and better organize and plan in the future.

I used to have a hard time with being organized and with planning when I was in school. Once I hit college, I found better ways to organize my time and plan ahead, so I'd like to share that with everyone who takes my course!
