Homework is outlined in the class description.Class Experience
In this class, students will talk about the basics included in a house and draw their dream house to present to the class! On the first day, students will brainstorm all of the things they will need to include in their house as a class, as well as any extras they would like to include. Learners will begin drawing the blueprint of their house (students will not be drawing to scale in this class, but rather learning how to make a plan and put it onto paper). Pencils, rulers, and papers are the only materials needed for this day, but students are welcome to use any extra drawing tools they have. Students will have the week to complete their blueprints before the next class. On the second day, students will share their blueprint with the class and describe their house and explain why they placed each room where they did. Note: This day may run short if there is low enrollment.
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to plan a blueprint and draw it to present to the class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! Thank you for sharing this time with me! My name is Mrs. Bloom, and I love teaching kids! My goal is to allow my students to experience learning hands on, and to encourage them to think and express themselves in a positive way. With over 20 years of experience working with kids in multiple capacities, including volunteering at camps, running kids programs, working as a teacher, and raising and homeschooling my own child, I have a huge variety of experiences from which I can pull to create fun and engaging classes for my students! Since we are expected to integrate information from multiple areas when we approach a problem in real life, my classes are taught from this interdisciplinary perspective. This allows students to ask questions, explore, and discover information that is interesting and relevant, motivating them to become lifelong learners. I can't wait for you to join me as we enjoy the art of learning!
