I will teach place value by using geometrical representation. I will tell the story of an old King who had a lot of gold. He had so much gold that he could not count it all, so he asked a young boy to count it for him. The young boy teaches the old King how to count his gold.
      I will introduce geometrical representations and place value charts to learners to help them count and identify numbers. 
Learners will practice finding groups of ten, counting up to 1,000 by playing an online game and a game of "Hollywood Squares."
