Pilates is a great adjunct for ice skaters young and experienced. In this workout we will strengthen and stretch the core, hips and spine. Ice skaters benefit from the focused breathing and whole body exercises that Pilates can provide. We start with a warm up and do several series of exercises utilizing the hips, spine and core. I encourage all learners to listen to their body and challenge them when it is safe and appropriate. We will spend a ew minutes discussing the workout at the end of class and wrap up with questions. No prior experience is necessary for this class.
Learning Goals
1. stretch and strengthen to support the needs of ice skating
