In this one-time class, students learn about the application of Physics concepts by watching a clip of a battlebots fight and then discussing the Physics behind it. This class starts with quick introductions. Then we watch a short clip of a battlebots fight. Together, we analyze the video including how the weapons work and what happens during the fight. We discuss Physics concepts such as gravity and different types of forces. The class format is a mix of lecture, discussion and presentation. This class has a co-teacher, Mr. Randy. I am a Chemical Engineer and Mr. Randy is a Mechanical Engineer.
Hi! I am excited to offer classes in math and science. I have two Bachelor of Science degrees from The Ohio State University. My first degree is in Environmental Science and my second degree is in Chemical Engineering. I have three kiddos between the ages of 3 and 10. We love PokƩmon and traveling. A fun fact about me is I am a certified scuba diver!
My goals are to engage students and to facilitate interest in math and science. I will use experiments and examples to help students understand concepts, rather than just memorizing terms and formulas.
