In this class led by a licensed physical therapist, learners will explore what physical therapy is all about, including: -What physical therapists do -Why physical therapy is important -The path to becoming a physical therapist -Things to consider when deciding if PT may be for you -Tips and tricks for preparing for and applying to PT school -Careers related to physical therapy, such as athletic training, chiropractic, occupational therapy, etc. Learners who are considering entering the healthcare field in any capacity will find this class informative, as PTs are "interdisciplinary professionals" - meaning, we're everywhere! It's important for all members of the healthcare team to understand what we do. Learners will be led through an interactive presentation and will be encouraged to ask questions along the way. Please note: this class is intended for learners pursuing education and employment in the United States. Due to differences in scope and licensing, this teacher does not have any knowledge of international PT opportunities.
