Beginner - Intermediate Level
Students will be introduced to The Elements of Art and Principles of Design, The Rule of Thirds, and techniques for composing a photograph. Students will apply this information to create a series of 10 photographs during the class session. Using their camera, students will search for elements and principles within their environment (either indoors or outdoors). Students will use techniques of composition to capture images that illustrate the following: Line, Shape/Form, Texture, Balance (Asymmetrical), Color (Analogous/Complementary), Rhythm/Repetition/Pattern, Worm's-Eye-View Perspective, Bird's-Eye-View Perspective, Looking-Through Perspective. I will provide assistance and feedback to students during class as they take their photos. Students will be welcomed and gently encouraged to share their photos with the class! *The class is open to all skill levels in photography and no prior experience in photography is needed. * If you do not see a time that fits your schedule, please use the "request a time" feature or message me so that we can arrange a time that works for you.
