US Grade Pre - Kindergarten-2
This is a once-a-week, ongoing class where students will practice consonant blends and digraphs. As children learn the letters of the alphabet and the sounds they make they are then able to blend those sounds together to form words. Many of our words start or finish with consonant blends, such as “bl” - blue, blow, blink, or “st” - last, star, past.) In these blends, both letters have a distinct sound that we blend together. Through participation in this class, students will learn how to clearly sound out the different consonant blends and various digraphs (ph, sh, ch, ea, ie, ei, etc.) that help to make up our English language.
