In this one-time class we will talk about Pete's Pizza Party and all the letter P ingredients that were used. We will listen to a read- aloud of the book. Learners will have two printable worksheets to print before class. We will use one as a coloring page for each student to color their pizza creation. We will use the other printable page as a writing prompt to complete a sentence about some things they want to add to their pizza. Learners will be encouraged to use descriptive words to tell about their pizza. We will also talk about colors of ingredients used on their pizza and how to spell those.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of color words and use of descriptive words to tell about something. They will also have practice speaking to the teacher and to other students in the class.
