30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
All pets are welcome in this class & learners up to 12 years old are also welcome to join. I introduce myself and my special yorkie pet: Lady My learners get the opportunity to introduce themselves and their pets (They love talking about their pets and love show and tell.) I will integrate science by discussing the basic needs of living to survive: Air, Water, Food and Shelter. The learners will interact with each other, by being encouraged to think of questions to ask and also answering the questions. I want each learner to share: -where their pet came from -how they take care of their pet -what can their pet do (e.g. roll, sing, talk!) -Share if they know any fun facts about their pet. The class will end by saying goodbye to each other and the reminder of taking good care of their pet friends.
Learning Goals
Students will:
-build a sense of belonging with others who have pets
-improve their listening skills by giving a turn to others to talk
-build self-confidence speaking in front of others (online version) about a subject they love
-understand responsibilities of having a pet
-compare their pets and learn about their likes and differences
