Pet Show & Tell: Do You Have a Pet, Maybe Even an Unusual Pet?
What's included
1 live meeting
30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
If your child loves their pet, look no further! During this class, students will get to show off their pet(s), while working on their socialization skills, listening skills, public speaking skills, as well as, sharing and taking turns. These are all important skills for in-school and virtual learners. As the teacher, I will guide the students by sharing my pet first, then each student will have an opportunity to show off their amazing pet. It can be a real pet or picture. We will focus on using adjectives to discuss colors, sizes, and textures. We will talk about responsibilities like, what they eat and how to care for them. Finally, we will practice counting all of our new friends. Your child will have a blast getting to know the other students and seeing all of the different animals. We will finish class with an animal trivia.
Learning Goals
Students will learn about adjectives and practice public speaking.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello,
I'm Teacher Ely! I am very excited for the opportunity to teach your child on Outschool. I hold a Master's degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Human Resources. I also earned my Esthetician license and love anything about skin, makeup, and spa. I started teaching on the Outschool platform since August of 2020 and have already had the privilege of teaching 480+ students. In addition, I have taught English as a secondary language to students between ages 3-13 for the last year. I also homeschooled my 2 children and have had the opportunity to teach in various co-op homeschool gatherings with children ages 0-10. This has allowed me to develop effective communication, with an emphasis on structure, expectations, objectives, teachable moments, and using three key components: visual, presentation, and hands-on approach. It is very important to bring a variety of components into the classroom because not every child learns the same way or at the same pace.
My goal is to ensure that every student in my classroom has the ability to gain knowledge, whether that is scaffolding down to meet your child's needs or extending the concepts for more advanced learners. Each student in my class is equally important, and I strive to ensure that your child will learn in my classroom. There is a balance to learning; it is all about keeping your child engaged in the lesson and eager to learn more.
One fun fact about me is that I have moved 12 times in the last nine years. I look forward to seeing your child in my classroom!
