I will provide progress reports following each session. This helps the parents know what we have covered, any challenges, any kudos for the kids and assignments completed.Class Experience
What will be taught? I provide support in reading, writing, and math, tailored to the student’s specific needs. I will also assist with any schoolwork they bring or answer questions about their current lessons. What topics will you cover? Topics will vary depending on the learner's needs but may include phonics, reading comprehension, writing skills, basic to advanced math, and study strategies. We can also cover any school assignments or challenging areas that the student needs help with. How is your class structured? Each session begins with a review of the student’s current work or areas of struggle. We'll focus on specific skills or assignments, practice with interactive activities, and wrap up with a review to ensure understanding. Sessions are flexible and adapt to the student's progress. How will you teach? I use a mix of direct instruction, hands-on practice, and interactive tools like slides, games, and worksheets. I also provide real-time feedback and encouragement to keep students engaged and motivated. What's your teaching style? My teaching style is interactive, supportive, and student-centered. I adapt lessons to fit each learner’s unique needs and strengths, making learning fun and accessible with engaging activities. How much will learners get to interact with you? Learners will have constant interaction through guided discussions, hands-on activities, and questions. We’ll use tools like games, slides, and videos to make lessons more dynamic, and I’ll work closely with them on their schoolwork, offering help and explanations as needed.

This class focuses on academic subjects and is designed to be a safe and supportive learning environment. There are no specific class content areas that may be upsetting or scary for learners, as the focus will be on reading, writing, and math skills.
I do not anticipate using any media content that requires an official rating; however, if any educational videos or resources are included, I will ensure they are age-appropriate and aligned with educational standards.
The third-party tools (e.g., educational games or interactive platforms), used during class, are listed below (Khan Academy, Quizlet, Reading Rockets, IXL Learning, Canva, YouTube, and Teacher Pay Teachers). I will inform families in advance about how these tools will be utilized. Generally, these tools will enhance the learning experience and may require an account for some learners, but I will provide guidance and support for setting this up if necessary.
