Class Experience

This class is an ongoing format. Students will sketch a new character every week. Each week is charged as a subscription on Sunday mornings. Students can join or leave the series any week. Prior attendance and knowledge of the subject is not required to attend.

Each class will follow the step-by-step process:
1. They will concentrate on rendering the basic shapes of a character, then proceed to discover the various relationships between the lines, shapes and proportions of the image.
2. They will learn to use a mixture of loose hatching and cross-hatching techniques to apply some dark tones in order to create the form.
3. They will modify the dark tones of the image by both strengthening and blending them with carefully graduated shading.
4. The final step will be to unify the form, tones and texture of the image by deepening the shadows and increasing their contrast.

Students will learn to develop each game character by concentrating on uniting the elements of line, shape, tone and texture. Once they built a solid foundation and keep practicing, they will be able to sketch a multitude of their favorite characters. Classes are highly interactive and students will have the opportunity to socialize and share their ideas in a fun and upbeat environment. This is a highly sought-after class for Disney fans.
