What's included
1 live meeting
55 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
This class is an ongoing format. Students will sketch a new architectural element every week. Each week is charged as a subscription on Sunday mornings. Students can join or leave the series any week. We recommend beginners join our Fundamental Pencil Sketching Landscapes series before they proceed to this class: Pencil Sketching Fundamentals Part 4 - Landscapes & Perspectives https://outschool.com/classes/3-week-pencil-sketching-art-series-part-4-landscapes-perspectives-DxjZKCZf#usRzeseCIM Class will: 1. observe architectures and buildings as shapes and particularly look for shadow shapes (mapping light and dark) 2. learn how to use lines to create shapes and forms, how to use values to contrast light and dark to add shadows and reflections so that the architectures and buildings have thicknesses and depths 3. learn to fit details into the architectures and buildings as a whole and develop a personal way of simplifying the details so that it is quicker to draw complex architectures and buildings 4. understand the principles of perspective, horizon line and vanishing point 5. create and complete with a story by adding surrounding elements like trees, clouds and people Once they built a solid foundation and keep practicing, they will be able to design a multitude of unique sketches of their own character. Classes are highly interactive and students will have the opportunity to socialize and share their ideas in a fun and upbeat environment.
