Welcome to “Paw into Graphic Design: Learn Animal Science through Canva”! Students will learn a variety of animal science topics, including recently published research articles, agriculture, animal care, welfare, and sustainability. This club will nurture their innate creative skills and learn how to develop impactful projects that require a knack for storytelling and knowledge of design basics. In the beginning of each class we will start by introducing ourselves and sharing a fun animal fact about our favorite animal. Students will learn about a topic in animal science along with a fun Canva project. In the beginning of the class students will sit through a short, engaging lecture. There will be time to ask questions. The lecture will lead to a step-by-step tutorial of the Canva project. During the live walkthrough students will learn basic design principles. Before each class the student will receive a link to the custom template on Canva. Students will be able to customize their project. Learners will be able to submit their Canva project and share with the class. Students are encouraged to showcase their work because this portion of the class is about creativity. Each class will be interactive. There will be hands-on learning because the nature of this class is project-based. Animal science is meant to be fun, so there will be humor, storytelling, and cool animal facts! This class is for beginners who are interested in learning more about Canva. However, graphic design and animal science are two broad and complex subjects. Students will receive guidance and support at each step.
