Partners: 1 Hour of Semi-Private Acting Coaching for 2 Students
What's included
1 live meeting
1 in-class hoursHomework
1 hour per week. **Required: Students must let me know the day they book, what they would like to work on. If I believe we will not be able to cover everything the students would like to work on in 60 minutes, I will let both students know how much we can do or give them a choice. **If both students want help/to work on monologues, scenes, or audition sides they both *already have*, they will need to send me a copy plus any audition information they have (agent email, casting call contents or link) when they book, so I can prepare to help them. Please have parents send me a message the day of booking or post in the classroom, letting me know what the students would like to work on. This way I can plan ahead and gather any materials I may need to coach them. Parents cannot send attachments through email, but can upload scripts to the classroom.Assessment
There is formal or informal letter grade. The students will receive feedback during the session.Grading
includedClass Experience
In this one-hour semi-private coaching session, I will work with the students on any of their acting goals, such as choosing or preparing monologues, working on sides for an upcoming audition (only if both students have the audition), improving acting skills, scene study, cold reading, creating students' acting resumes, learning about agents and how to get one, understanding headshots, exploring beginning voice-over skills, developing action steps to help students reach their goals, etc. **Please Note: I do NOT teach musical theater/singing. **Prior acting experience is not required. **If students wish to work on non-acting goals (i.e. how the industry works, agents, headshots, resumes, etc.), parental guidance is required. **Required: Both students must let me know the day they book, what they would like to work on. If I believe we will not be able to cover everything they'd like to work on in 60 minutes, I will let each student know how much we can do or give them a choice. **Unless both students are working on the same audition, I don't recommend using this class to prepare for an audition because it will be unfair to the student who is not auditioning. However, if you are both preparing for the same audition and would like help with monologues or audition sides that you *already have*, you will need to send me a copy of the scripts plus any audition information you have (agent email, audition information, casting call contents or link) when you book, so I can prepare to help you. Please have parents send me a message the day of booking or post in the classroom, letting me know what you'd like to work on. This way I can plan ahead and gather any materials I may need to coach you both. Parents cannot send attachments through email, but can upload scripts to the classroom. In terms of my teaching style, I am a fun, high-energy, motivational teacher. I like to entertain my students while educating them and to create a friendly, supportive class environment. I love helping students gain confidence and move in the direction of their goals.
Learning Goals
Students will learn about whichever topic they/their parents indicate in writing to me on the day of booking. If I believe we will not be able to cover everything students would like to work on in 60 minutes, I will let both students know how much we can do or give them a choice (if they listed more than one topic).
Other Details
Parental Guidance
**If students wish to work on non-acting goals (i.e. how the industry works, agents, headshots, resumes, etc.), parental guidance is required.
