Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 4
In this class, your child will learn the art of writing through an engaging and interactive curriculum. We'll cover various paragraph structures such as definition, process, analysis, descriptive, opinion, and narrative paragraphs using easy to follow steps. Additionally, we'll focus on essential writing techniques like capitalization and punctuation. Developing strong topic sentences, supporting details, and clinchers will be a key focus, along with expanding vocabulary for improved writing quality.

The class is structured as a weekly exploration, with each week dedicated to a specific paragraph structure. Lessons will include clear explanations, models of writing, and practical exercises. The structure is designed to gradually build skills from the sentence to a paragraph.

Teaching will be a mix of interactive methods, including student-centered activities, discussions, and practical exercises. The class will utilize the new edition of the Great Writing series, providing clear explanations.

My teaching style is supportive and encouraging, aiming to create an environment where children feel confident expressing themselves through writing. I prioritize learning, providing practical examples, and engaging activities to reinforce concepts. The goal is to make the writing process enjoyable and accessible.
