Paper Snowflakes 101

In this one-time class, students will use a piece of paper to create snowflakes - similar to what us grownups did as kids! Ready to have your house decorated in paper snowflakes? And just like the real thing... no two are alike!

Class Experience

If you're like me, you LOVE snow! If you're also like me, you love decorating your room for winter! In this class, we will use a single piece of paper and scissors to turn it into a magical creation - a snowflake!

A few folds, and a few snips... that's it! If you want to be creative, add a splash of color.

YOU have total control of your snowflake! Will it be a diamond? A circle? Will there be hearts or stars? What about fringe?

The best part?? You can make as many as you'd like!! No two snowflakes are alike... what will YOU create?

----------------------------------------------

This course is meant for students who have experience using scissors and folding paper. While they do not need to be experts in either, we want to ensure safety. This class will be interactive, where students will be called on to share their snowflake and describe their creation. As an upbeat teacher, who loves song and dance - there are sure to be a few laughs along the way!

Hello! I am Miss Leslie! Thank you for considering me to teach your child in Outschool. My goal is to foster a love of learning from all students, whether I teach them one time, or one hundred times!

Experience I Bring:
⭐️Bachelors in Early Childhood Education
⭐️Masters in Reading Education
⭐️12+ years teaching kindergarten
⭐️ 1.5 years of teaching elementary and junior high physical education
⭐️1 year of reading intervention
⭐️1.5 years working with 0-3 year olds
⭐️ Over 14 years working with students with special needs
⭐️Tutoring K-6th grade
⭐️2 years online ESL teacher
⭐️1.5 years online kindergarten

I believe that all children are capable of learning. I also know that these young years in a child's life are full of growth, and I would like to touch the lives of as many children as possible during that crucial time in brain development. I teach though silly voices, song, and love to interact with my students. It takes a LOT to keep young kids engaged during online teaching, and I would love to use my gift to teach your child!

I currently exclusively teach a beginner ASL class. I still continue to teach in a public elementary school during the daytime, so I am unable to accomodate additional daytime classes at this time. In the summer, my offerings vary.

I have two young children of my own, and love to spend my spare time making as many memories as possible. Our family is very involved in church and sports. We love the outdoors, but also love a relaxing evening in.

Please let me know what I can do to help your child.
