Class Experience

Do you want to give your pancakes some pizzazz?

In this one time cooking class, students will learn how to create beautiful masterpieces made of pancake batter that taste delicious too!

First, students will learn proper kitchen vocabulary and measuring techniques.

Second, we will discuss safety precautions we need to take in the kitchen when preparing pancakes.

Third, we will apply these new techniques and create pancake art which your whole family will enjoy.

No experience necessary, however, students will need access to a griddle or a pan to cook their pancakes on. They also need access to squeeze bottles or piping bags with small tips to put the batter in. We will also use cookie cutters to create different shaped pancakes (stay away from tiny intricate ones please)
Learning Goals
Students will improve their measuring skills, kitchen math skills, learn terminology used in baking and will enhance their cooking techniques.
Students will cook pancakes during class.
