In this painting class, learners will paint unique things using everyday household items to create amazing abstract paintings ! During class, we will paint and will be provided time to talk to their peers while we paint, and share our amazing works of art ! Class 1 (Week of March 29 ) : Space Collage Supplies: Star stickers , washable paint , large paper, q tips , cups, paper plate, fork Class 2 ( Week of April 5 ): Sponge Painting Supplies: Sponges cut into different sizes and shapes , clothespins , washable paint , large paper, paper plate Class 3 ( Week of April 12 th) : Circle Art Supplies: cups, q tips, paint brushes, large paper, washable paint Class 4 ( Week of April 19th ): Block Printing Supplies: foam blocks and legos, washable paint, paper plate , large paper Class 5 ( Week of April 26th): Cookie Cutter Art Supplies: Cookie Cutters, washable paint, paper plate , glitter, large paper Class 6 ( Week of May 3d ): Bubble Wrap Art Supplies: bubble Wrap, Large paint brushes, large paper, washable paint , paper plate, empty Soda cans Class 7 ( Week of May 10th ): Balloon Art Supplies: 3 small balloons blown up the size of a tennis ball, washable paint, cotton balls, paper plate , large paper Class 8 ( Week of May 17th ) : Fork and Spoon Painting Supplies: forks, spoons, washable paint, glitter, paper plate , Qtips, large paper This class is intended for children ages 3-6 years old. Adult supervision is always recommended due to using paint. I recommend all learners where smocks or Aprons to protect their clothes.

Hello, My name is Christina Casanova and I love to teach young students the wonders of art and it's history. I have been an Art teacher for the past 5 years and have a BA in Art from SUNY Empire State College. I believe that students can learn a lot from art history and have fun trying new and exciting art techniques! I make sure that my students are engaged and are having fun in the process. I believe that having children create and express their creativity will allow them to view the world in a different way, as well as focus them for other areas of study.
