- Students will gain knowledge of new vocabulary words by defining unknown words and participating in discussions.
- Students will learn/review plot elements (exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, resolution) by participating in discussions.
- Students will analyze text evidence for characterization, and theme by participating in a discussion.
- Students will improve their reading comprehension skills by answering questions and participating in discussions.

Frequency: 1-2 per weekFeedback: as neededDetails: Students are expected to read the assigned chapters, complete reading comprehension questions and vocabulary. The number of pagers varies based on the book. The homework should take about 2 hours to complete each week, depending on the reader. **Please contact the instructor for accommodations :).Assessment

Walk Two Moons includes the death of a mother and a stillborn baby The Outsiders includes violence (fighting) and a character kills someone The Giver mentions Stirrings (when characters have mature thoughts about the opposite sex) A Wrinkle in Time discusses other planets and life on those planets Blooket does not require an account to access.
Blooket will be used. Students don't need an account to play.
