Class Experience

This will be an interactive lesson with opportunities for discussion and answering questions. The students will learn and discuss the basic information of many owls around the world. The information will be presented using google slides with images and facts for each animal. There will be questions relating to the material throughout the lesson. Students are encouraged to ask questions. I ask that students participate in class and to engage respectfully with other learners.
I will give them instructions at the beginning of class. I will also give them reminders throughout the class. We give thumbs up for yes and thumbs down for no. I will ask that the students mute and unmute when asking questions to limit distractions. We will enjoy a fun and engaging class. This will be a fun and encouraging environment.

This basic information can include habitat, food source, location. predators, prey, and characteristics. We will cover as many owls as time allows. We will discuss the speckled owl, oriental bay owl, Eurasian eagle owl, great gray owl, tawny owl, tawny fish owl, northern pygmy owl, northern saw-whet owl, western screech owl and spotted wood owl.

Hello,
I am Velma. I am from Texas. I have been teaching for 20 years. I love teaching many subjects.
I have a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Education. I have taught online for 6 years! I love learning new things along with my students. I delight in helping students learn. I believe children learn more when a class is fun and engaging.
When I am not teaching your children, I am homeschooling my 8-year-old son and caring for my infant son. I love gardening, reading, and enjoying nature. My family and I love exploring the outdoors and learning about the world around us.
Thank you for choosing me to be your child's teacher,
Velma R
