Informal assessment will be done throughout class based on learner works and conversation with the learner. Please understand assessment of any kind will be challenging if a learner choose to make a minimum attempt to complete works, or does not participate in the class activities or practices.Class Experience
***Each section will require at least 3 students to start. Class starting date will be cancelled or postponed when the minimum number is not met. When there are other sections available, students may be asked to join another section. ***Definitely not for an absolute beginner, but if you don't mind following along with what we're doing in class to be able to type in Japanese and learn phrases, beginners are welcome to join. ////////////////////////////////////////////// This is a weekly output-focused LIVE class for Japanese language learners to become comfortable communication using microphones and typing based on topics from ACTFL(Novice High-Intermediate Low), CEFR(A1-A2), and GCSE (Foundation Tier). Everyone MUST participate by either typing or using microphone to respond. Students will have a set of vocabulary and grammar to focus mastering each week by using Quizlet. Weekly lesson consists of a review of the vocabulary and grammar, reading model dialogue for everyone to make their own dialogues by typing, or by performing/reading using microphone. There will be a weekly input asked of the students to make in between lessons. Students will go through the following routine below in the course of four weeks. Learn the vocabulary on Quizlet. Use the vocabulary to make responses for the weekly topic on an web-based collaborative board. I will be answering any questions students may have on grammar and expression in class page in Japanese and English during class. Students are encouraged to use either a printed dictionary or an online dictionary to add new words to make his/her own sentences/input. Using Duolingo so far but don't know how to put all those words into sentences? This will be great! If you have another Outschool sensei you're learning from, great! Countries and Languages
Learners will go over a set of new vocabulary and grammar point notes with sensei to complete a series of practices while receiving live corrections for each of the works produced.
In typing or in audio recording, learners will create a brief biography about their chosen famous figures from around the world.
Learners produce their final work with images, audio or video recordings, or with plain text.

Other Details
Parental Guidance
Students will be asked to use Quizlet to study vocabulary every week. Having a free account made prior to starting this course will be helpful. Gimkit, and Flipgrid will require a parental consent.
Pre-Requisites
Students must already know how to type with romaji input to get hiragana out. Installation of Japanese keyboard input before the class will be helpful. Having already learned hiragana is a must.
