Class Experience

In this weekly space, autistic (no diagnosis necessary), queer, and questioning students are encouraged to bring their ideas, thoughts, and interests to share with the group.

Exploration of identity and shared experience is significant to human development and meaningful connection. Neurodivergent, autistic, and queer people who hold multiple identities and experiences can often feel isolated or like "I am the only one". Being a part of many social, sensory, learning, emotional, and interpersonal experiences, bonds with our peers are essential in creating community, fostering leadership, and grounding our sense of self. It is important that we have a space to explore and process who we are while also connecting with others to learn about their perspectives and interests.

All conversation and communication styles are respected and honored. If there is a way your student learns best, please message me so we can collaborate on appropriate access needs. I identify as an autistic, queer individual with many years of facilitating youth-led spaces and am a practicing Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) in the state of California.
Learning Goals
Students will learn through conversation facilitated through a nonviolent, inquisitive, and neurodivergent-affirming communication lens.
