US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
In this one time class, learners will be introduced to a variety of emotions. We will begin the class with the story "The Way I Feel" by Janan Cain. In this story, the author mentions the emotions: silly, scared, disappointed, happy, sad, angry, thankful, frustrated, shy, bored, excited, jealous, and proud. As we read the story, we will discuss each of these emotions and demonstrate what they look like on us and why we would feel that emotion. After the story we will play Emotions Bingo to reinforce these emotions!

Supply List
Learners need to print out a Bingo card prior to the start of class. Learners will also need something to mark their spots on the Bingo card.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

The teacher will read the story, "The Way I Feel" by Janan Cain (you do not need your own copy). Several different Bingo boards will be available to print. The learner may simply cross off the emotion as they are called or mark it with a bingo chip or something small.

Hello! My name is Tesla. I typically go by Teacher Tesla or Miss Tesla in the classroom. I have my teaching certificate in early childhood education (PreK- 3rd grade) and my Master’s degree in Special Education. I am currently an Intervention Specialist in a local school district. My classes are student centered and I plan lessons that are fun and engaging to the students!
I live in my childhood hometown. I have three dogs- Ruger, Cooper and Kimber and one cat- Mew. I have nieces and nephews that I adore so much and spend a lot of time with! I enjoy being with friends and family and love to learn and have fun!
