This lesson provides several positive learning outcomes. By observing, discussing, and drawing things that focus on letters of the alphabet, the learners are able to gain a deeper understanding of language arts, as well as our world around us. Other learning outcomes include positive communication and critical thinking skills. Group discussion during the presentation and activity promotes positive communication, as does sharing the artworks in the concluding discussion. Additionally, the learners will utilize critical thinking skills by applying, analyzing and synthesizing their prior knowledge and experiences into the class discussion as well as into the artwork they create.
