- Learners will gain strategies, learn rules patterns, grammar, develop and/or strengthen skills in reading and spelling, reading comprehension, reading and writing fluency skills. It will provide practice for oral reading and oral language development.
As a former elementary school teacher and current Orton-Gillingham instructor, I have several years experience working with students utilizing various methods and curricula to develop students’ foundational literacy skills.

Frequency: includedDetails: Learners are assessed during the first class to get an idea of strengths and weaknesses. Students will be assessed informally during each class, which will “drive” instruction/homework.
Dyslexia, Language Disorders, English Language Learners, (Anyone wanting explicit spelling, reading, language classes.) All ages, skill levels.
3 files available upon enrollmentHandouts (Student Recording Sheets) will be provided before each class. A printer for weekly printouts for each lesson. A 3-ring binder or folder for each lesson for future reference. (A notebook to write lessons in if choosing not to print handouts.) Pencil. Tactile surface: sandpaper, sponge, any textured surface.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
