Origami is the art of folding paper. It helps one develop the following skills: Hand-Eye Co-ordination Good Memory Fine Motor Skills Mental Concentration Sequencing Skills Math (fractions, measurement, proportions, 3D comprehension) Teamwork Problem Solving Skills Focus Patience In this class, students will be learning how to make a beautiful origami puffy heart. This heart design can be used for multiple purposes. You can use it to decorate your room, turn it into a garland or write a message on it and give it to your family and friends on valentine's day or even write a thank you or get well soon message on it. I will be working with my students step by step as I demonstrate how to make this origami puffy heart. After this, the students will have a chance to try and make this project on their own. If they require assistance I will be there to help. If there is enough time each student should be able to show what they have learned by the end of the lesson. If a student is unable to learn how to make an origami puffy heart a link to an instructional video will be provided afterward. No previous experience is required. Please come to class prepared and ready to learn something new.

3 - 4 sheets of square paper (can be any size as long as all sides are equal) Ruler Pencil Glue 1 chopstick or anything similar

My name is Sarwat. I am from Ontario, Canada. I have my Honours Bachelor of Commerce – Human Resources Management. I have worked with kids ages 3 - 18 in the past 10 years.
