What's included

Homework
1-2 hours per week. Learners will complete craft and activity after watching FLEX video. It may take 45 minutes to an hour depending on the learner.

Class Experience

Isn't Halloween so fun? During this FLEX course (no live classes) students will get to listen to fun stories related to Halloween. We will also do a weekly craft and an activity based on the book we read. This is a great way to expose your learner to new books and have fun while doing it. Each week I will post three videos, the craft, the book, and the activity. Learners are encouraged to share a picture of their craft and post their completed activity in the classroom. Each week will have a different theme and the book and craft will be based on that. There will be an OPTIONAL end of week experiment just for fun!

Themes:
Week 1: Monsters (fun ones, of course!) & Ghosts (silly ones!)
Week 2: Bats & Halloween

Schedule:
Monday: Craft video will be shared
Wednesday: Read aloud will be shared
Friday: Story based activity will be shared and OPTIONAL experiment

Books:
Creepy Carrots - Aaron Reynolds
There Was an Old Mummy Who Swallowed a Spider - Jennifer Ward
Clifford's First Halloween - Norman Birdwell
Clifford's Halloween - Norman Birdwell

Activities that are completed weekly will be based on the book read and include sequencing, discussing characters, and discussing what we like and dislike about the book that was read.

Learners are encouraged to post their completed craft and book activity by Sunday evening

I am looking forward to enjoying new Halloween books with your learner(s)!
