Class Experience

Beginner Level
What a wonderful idea to learn Spanish doing your Spring Break! In this course you will read, paint and do seasonal crafts in Spanish while you practice vocabulary and conversations.

The structure of the class is as follows:

5 Minutes: Warm up
20 Minutes: Activity
5 Minutes: Wrap up

Day 1: Craft - vocabulary
Day 2: Craft - vocabulary
Day 3: Craft - vocabulary
Day 4: Craft - vocabulary
Day 5: Craft - vocabulary

Students don't require any previous experience on the subject to be able to participate or learn in this class.
In general you learn a foreign language by being exposed to it. I can tell you that by personal experience. Like everything else, you need to practice to understand and finally learn.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
While most of the content in this class is very simple for kids to do on their own, children will need assistance from time to time when handling scissors, glue or food that needs to be microwaved or blended. We will NOT use knives, a conventional oven, or a stove in this class. For practicing songs at home, I will share a Youtube link that you can use at home everyday with supervision. However, you can also use other methods such as downloading the song or use a device for listening to the song. You Tube: I will use a sharable screen for songs. Google Docs / Acrobat reader / canva : I will attach some documents for you to download and print, such as song lyrics, printables and images that are necessary for crafts. Kahoot/ Quizlet: It is not required that you create an account. You will use a code to participate in the activity. I will share the link previous to the class. Hoopla / Amazon prime: Occasianally, I will use a sharable screen for Story Time. Giftcuriosity: I will use a sharable screen for experiments. Duolingo: From time to time we will use this page so students who read can practice their skills.
