Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 6
Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this weekly ongoing course, we will do a different STEAM project each week! We will cycle through the five STEAM topics: science, technology, engineering, arts, & mathematics. During each class, the learners will solve a problem by completing a project related to these areas. We will engage in STEAM projects together, predicting the outcomes, observing and discussing the processes, and analyzing the end results. After doing the project together, we will engage in a discussion about it and how we can take it further. This concluding activity promotes positive discussion, strengthening communication as well as critical thinking skills.

This class is also available as a 1:1 private tutoring class. Please message me for details.

Learning Goals

This lesson provides several positive learning outcomes. By focusing on STEAM topics (science, technology, engineering, art, & math), and doing a relevant project each week, the learners are able to gain a deeper understanding of how these concepts are utilized in the real world. Other learning outcomes include positive communication and critical thinking skills. Group discussion during the presentation, activity, as well as in the conclusion, promotes positive communication. Additionally, the learners will utilize critical thinking skills by predicting, applying, analyzing and synthesizing their prior knowledge and experiences into the class discussion as well as into the STEAM activity.
