Class experience
In this fun and activity-filled class, students will have their first piano lesson with an experienced teacher. Learners should be at their piano or large keyboard, but will also be standing up and moving around. During this private music lesson we will: • Introduce correct bench placement, posture, and hand and body position. • Learn keyboard geography (black and white keys, high and low notes). • Create and listen to different sounds at the piano. • Sing a familiar folk song. • Practice...
Homework Offered
Learners will receive a personalized practice assignment after each class. Students should practice 6-7 days per week, but the time requirement for each practice session will vary according to the learner’s age and ability level.Assessments Offered

Learners need to take lessons at a piano, or a large music keyboard with full-sized keys (i.e., not a toy piano). Learners also need a piano bench or chair, a paper and pencil, and an open space to be able to move around for other activities. The student will also need specific books or sheet music, chosen by the teacher to meet the child’s individual needs.
