In this ongoing course, students will learn reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. Taught by an energetic kindergarten teacher, we will work to gain knowledge and skills that will help students succeed in first grade.
Class experience
***FALL SEMESTER STARTS AUGUST 16.*** This class can be for in-person students who need reinforcement of concepts or to supplement homeschool curriculum. We touch on all kindergarten skills throughout the year, but extra practice at home can really solidify those skills. Students will learn and practice capital letter sounds, basic math concepts, and be introduced to science and social studies.
I have 9 years of teaching experience, 4 years of online teaching, and 3 years in kindergarten. Though I like all subjects, I have most passion for teaching reading in young learners because it is the foundation of all learning. My degree is in elementary education with ESL certification. I do not have special education certification, but depending on the need, I do use a lot of hand motions and strategies that can possibly help improve learning.
