Students will learn executive functioning skills, such as time management, staying focused, prioritization of tasks, planning, organization, flexible thinking, adapting to changes, memory, self-monitoring, metacognition, task initiation, motivation, etc.
I am a teacher and parent with ADHD. I have a Master's in Teaching and over 10 years of experience teaching students with diverse needs, including ADHD. I am a licensed teacher in the state of North Carolina. I have extensive experience working with students who have ADHD and helping them succeed academically.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
This class is not intended to replace mental health services or counseling. It is intended to provide students with research-based advice for goal setting, time management, study skills, etc. specifically for students who have ADHD. All conversations during class are centered around academic performance and staying organized.
