Welcome to Personal Finance and Investing Weekly Math Class, we will talk about what money is, how it works, and focus specifically on financial understanding and how to use credit cards and loans responsibly. ▬▬▬▬▬ WEEKLY TOPIC SCHEDULE ▬▬▬▬▬ Week 1: What money is and how currency works Week 2: A brief history of money Week 3: How money works in the public sector vs. private sector Week 4: Taxes Week 5: Currency Exchange Rates Week 6: Bankruptcy and how to avoid it Week 7: Can money buy time, happiness or love? Week 8: Cost of Living Week 9: Differences between Savings and Current accounts Week 10: How interest works Week 11: Credit and debit cards Week 12: Credit ratings and how it affects you for life Week 13: How to save and why this is important Week 14: Investments Week 15: Gambling Odds Week 16: Budgets ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Concessions ▬▬▬▬▬▬ For parents/families who feel their child would benefit from this course, but their budget does not allow for it, I do offer a number of discounts for families of lower-income.
