1-2 hours per week. Suggested outside of class practice is 15 minutes a days/3 days a week for beginners and increasing as the level of music becomes more difficult.Class Experience
Always loved the violin? Do you swoon to the beautiful sound of a violin virtuoso? This class is for you! In one-to-one violin, learners will learn basic-intermediate techniques on the violin, such as bowing patterns, notes and rhythms, how to read music, and more. Class will begin with a brief warm up and review of past learned material. Then, students will continue their learning journey through new ideas and concepts on the violin. Learners will discover new genres of violin music, learn music history, and develop the confidence they need to perform in front of others. The best part? Because these are private lessons, each class can be tailored to each individual student based on their interests, starting level, and musical tastes. Violin lessons are sure to be the highlight of your learner's week!
Learning Goals
Students will learn the basics of violin, how to read music, bowing patterns, music history, and songs from different genres of music.

Hi everyone! We are so excited to have Wonderworks Learning and Arts Center join the Outschool community! Wonderworks is located in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina, about 30 minutes away from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Starting in 2012, we began with a vision of bringing high quality music classes to kids in our very rural area who had very little opportunities for music classes. In 2019, we added art and tutoring to our listings and have loved seeing our business grow!
Our teachers come from a wide variety of jobs and educational backgrounds, but one thing is required to be a teacher at Wonderworks: a love for their art form and a love of working with kids! Our teachers work to inspire the children they teach by meeting them where they are. No one is ever turned away from our Wonderworks community.
We believe that every human being has the capability to learn and achieve success in their learning, regardless of their individual needs when they start. Every single student that becomes apart of our community is welcomed with open arms and we will work with them to meet their individual needs.
