During my 29-year career as an Environmental Scientist and Biologist, I’ve seen just how vital play, creativity, and storytelling are for effective learning. Just as young animals develop survival skills by imitating and exploring, students deepen their understanding through engaging, hands-on activities. Stories help us make meaningful connections, remember important details, and apply new concepts—so I use them to transform lessons into memorable learning experiences.
As a former High School Science Teacher at a vocational trade school, I worked with educators across multiple disciplines—automotive, conservation, culinary arts, and more—to bring scientific principles to life. I developed curricula aligned with New York State standards in Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, and Physics for teens aged 15 to 18. Drawing on both my professional background in the field and current educational research, I design lessons that actively involve students, encouraging them to experiment, think critically, and solve problems.
By blending real-world science with interactive storytelling and meaningful play, I help students gain the confidence and skills they need to excel, whether they’re aspiring scientists, curious learners, or simply discovering what sparks their interest in the world.
