1 hour per week. Homework will consist of work on character backgrounds, leveling up, and time thinking about in-game puzzles during off periods. Only the former two will be directly assigned, but doing the latter will leave more time for progressing the story of the game during class time.Class Experience
Students will learn teamwork, collaborative storytelling, improvisation and practice basic math and problem-solving skills through the lens of an exciting and engaging game of Dungeons and Dragons by taking on the roles of pirates sailing the seas of the crossroads of a dynamic fantasy world. Some basic knowledge of Dungeons and Dragons is helpful, but not required to participate in this class. Certain optional rules will be used during play and explained to the class as they occur. Outline of Class: Meeting #1 - Character Creation, Session 0 Meeting #2 - Learner Directed Meeting #3 - Learner Directed Meeting #4 - Learner Directed If learners join the game after the first meeting will be given the chance to either play a pre-generated character or if they prefer they will be directed in creating a character via private messages via Outschool before the next session begins .
