In these weekly, ongoing sessions, I work with learners one on one, tailoring each lesson to meet their specific needs and musical interests.

Starting with the basics and advancing as we go, we will cover topics such as how to properly hold the ukulele, ukulele anatomy, chords, hand position, strumming patterns and more! This class is ideal for singers who are looking to learn how to play chords on the ukulele to accompany their singing voice. Each week we will work on a song to apply the techniques learned. I will make recommendations and work together with students in choosing songs that they enjoy and are appropriate for their level.

Throughout the class I will offer personalized feedback and guide students in finding ways to work through challenge areas. I have been teaching music for 20 years and I know most issues that arise for musicians and how to remedy them. I am also generous with positive feedback as I feel students thrive in a supportive environment. Ultimately my goal is for each learner to feel comfortable and confident playing the songs they love. No experience is necessary to begin one-on-one music lessons, just a love of music and a willingness to learn!
