One-On-One Tutoring With a Certified Math Teacher and Test-Prep Tutor

In this class, your child will have individual access to a certified Math teacher for any of their Math needs. I can help with any level of Math from middle school through high school (Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, or ACT/SAT test prep). The structure of each session will depend on what your child needs help with. I can clarify confusing notes from class, help guide them through their homework problems, or create an activity that will help them understand the material better. We can also work on confidence, organization, and study skills if needed.
My teaching style is very interactive. I do not like to just do the problems for them, but instead guide them into discovering the Math themselves. I like to experiment with different ways of teaching until we discover the way that works best for them. I will always allow time for students to practice so that I can monitor their understanding each session. Whenever possible, I like to use songs, stories, visuals, or mnemonic devices to enhance motivation and memory. I try my best to make learning Math fun and straight forward.
Students will not need any prerequisite knowledge for this class as I will be meeting them where they're at and filling in any gaps as we go.
