In this one-on-one class, learners learn and practice the standards-based rules of English grammar the fun way. We will cover parts of speech, syntax, sentence construction, reading comprehension, and word meanings.
Class experience
US Grade 1 - 5
In this on-going one-on-one class, we will work together to learn and understand the rules of grammar. We will use video clips, slides, discussion, and games to understand how language works. Learners will work at their own pace. We will play games and interact together to practice and master grade-level standards. Learners will be provided with class documents to print before class. Please ensure that your learner has their documents for each class meeting. Much of the class work will be based on these documents.
I am an experienced public school teacher. I have taught reading and writing at all levels from pre-kindergarten through college. I have extensive experience working with struggling learners, and I am well-trained in working with learners to identify and overcome their individual challenges in reading and writing.
